I am very happy to announce the foundation of the association for Digital Humanities in the Nordic Countries (DHN)!. On April 23, 2015, a group of people representing all Nordic countries (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland & Finland) met and after several hours of intense discussion and negotiation agreed on a preliminary version of the statutes and an interim council. A digital collection of letters of Albert Edelfelt (1854-1905), one of Finland through the ages the most prominent visual artists. The collection currently comprises 320 letters that Edelfelt wrote to his mother Alexandra Edelfelt during the years 1867 to 1875 and from 1885 to 1888. BYU's Nordic Digital Humanities Lab is an experimental publication that distributes digital humanities research specific to Nordic and Scandinavian works. Until recently the lab has focused primarily on topic modeling, but we are preparing to release new and exciting material in the near future.
